New general manager appointed for China

Phoslock Environmental Technologies (ASX:PET) has announced Viktor (Xiaoming) Li as its new General Manager for its China operations, effective 18 October 2021.

Viktor is an experienced senior leader with expertise in engineering, international trade, investment and mining.

His 30-year career has included China state-owned enterprises and joint ventures, as well as leadership roles in multinational corporations including Finnish company Normet (Shanghai) Trading Limited, Cedar Holdings, China Coal Elgin Mining Machinery Company Limited, and Australian mining, manufacturing and service company FLSmidth Ludowici.

He brings excellent cross-cultural knowledge and understanding, having worked across many countries including four years in Germany with Minmetals.

PET Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Lachlan McKinnon said this is a substantial step towards rebuilding the company’s management standards and presence in the region.

An Australian permanent resident, Viktor has degrees in mineral processing and international trade and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He will be based in Shanghai.
